Match Report Under 16 Blue Team v Railway
On a cold Sunday afternoon against Railway Union there was no slow start to the game with constant pressure from the start.
The first half was dominant from Pembroke with Alice tearing down the right wing eliminating players with fantastic individual skill and along side her Kate De Burca opening up the defensive with some cleverly lifted passes.
Dearbhla and Sophie in the mid field turning ball over from nearly every hit out made us nearly score on every attempt but unfortunately we couldn’t capitalize on all the possession.
The second half became more open for both sides with Kristen keeping us in the game with multiple saves from short corners, with the last few minutes remaining railway broke away transferring the ball very quickly a caught Pembroke on the counter and scored a brilliant team goal. The game showed all the possession is pointless unless you convert your chances.
