At 2:15, cars started to arrive, by 2:30 the games were underway.

20 Pembroke U8 Boys took on a very competitive and determined 20 boys from Railway Union and Boosterstown Hockey Club. Under the continued and persistence tutelage of Messrs Simmons, Johnson, Keating with 3 welcome additions on the day of Miriam O’Meara, Eric Foy and Zack Waters. The boys did brilliant and showed great spirit. Plenty of them were bumped over, shins and knuckles whacked but ne’er a moan. Gum shields went back in the mouth, a quick magic sponge and they were back on their feet to do a job and they did it very well.

Everyone needs to be very proud of the clubs future as they put all Friday night’s coaching into place (thanks Ali & Co) but also it was their second opportunity to get badly needed “match” practice.

Thanks for all the help and parents/coaches and organisers and a note will be going round for the “same again” in February so parents, have no fear, that trip to Ikea will be possible after the tournament with guaranteed tired and contented passengers!
