Ladies 5ths, 6ths and 8ths advance in Cup

The Ladies 5ths, 6ths and 8ths have made safe passage into the Qtr Finals of their respective Cups. The Ladies 6ths (who currently top their league) will play Loreto, away on January 16th. Loreto are the only side to have beaten the 6ths this year, but captain Karen McCarthy points out that this was ‘very early on in the season’ and the side have since clicked well and are not a formidable opponent for any team.

The 5ths had a fantastic 1-0 win over Nth Kildare in the last round to set-up a Qtr Final tie against Muckross 2nds/UCD 3rds. The match will be played on Jan 23rd.

The 8ths face Muckross at home in their Qtr Final tie, having won their opening Cup fixture 3-0 against Malahide. The 8ths endured a tricky start to the season but hopes are high that a win on Saturday will set them up for a successful 2010 season.
