Level 1 coaching refresher course, plus Code of Ethics

The Irish Hockey Association released details of the following coaching courses which may be of interest to anyone looking to refresh their coaching skills. You can visit the IHA’s Development and Coaching centre here and check out their schedule of coaching courses this Summer. Just a few items to keep you updated on from the IHA as the Coach Education season kicks off!

1. The IHA is holding a Level 1 Refresher. The course is designed for anyone who:
· Has attended an IHA Level 1 coaching course at least 5 years ago or more
· Is either still actively coaching or wishes to get back involved again
· Would like to update themselves on key technical changes as well as gaining an understanding of the key concept of ‘Play-Practice-Play’
· Wishes to refresh themselves on the Level 1
The course is being run in UCD on May 15th (10.15am to 4pm) and the cost is €30. Payment and registration is needed in advance.

2. The IHA is running a Code of Ethics courses in May. If you are working or volunteering with U18 players, it is essential that you attend this course. The course is being run on May 11th in UCD between 7pm and 10pm. The cost of attending is €20.
