PWHC Under 16 Yellow Vs Suttonians (Final)
A tragic end to the season saw the Pembroke Yellow tam fall at the last hurdle. Despite a brave display against a very skillful and aggressive(!) Suttonians team, we were unable prevail. Both teams had good chances during the match to take the lead, but in the end the match finished 0-0. In silver goal extra-time both teams desperately sought to avoid the cruelty of 1v1s, but to no avail. Having come out victorious on 1v1s from our semi-final, we were relatively confident of again edging matters.
Unfortunately, despite two classy finishes, we were defeated by two good goals (and a controversial one!) by Suttonians. Special mention goes out to Kate and Katie at the back who excelled once again and to Grace O’Beirne who was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the season for her performances throughout the year.
