Womens Hockey World Cup 2018
Pembroke players and supporters had a chance to show their support for our World Cup stars Gill Pinder and Emily Beatty last week when they played their first home game of the 2018/2019 season.
Club President Elaine Donohoe led the congratulations following the fantastic 2018 World Cup tournament when they took home the Silver medal. Club Captain Olwen Scally presented the 2 players with a momento of their achievements on behalf of the club.
Also noted was former Pembroke stalwart Nigel Henderson, now the Irish goalkeeping coach, after Irish goalie Ayeisha McFerran achieved the ultimate accolade by taking home the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award.
Well done to all players and staff involved in the 2018 World Cup and best wishes for your upcoming Olympic qualifier campaign!
