Pick Up A Stick @ PWHC
We at Pembroke Wanderers are starting a Pick Up A Stick programme in April and May, on Thursdays 7-8pm.
Pick Up A Stick is a Hockey Ireland initiative that aims to provide an opportunity to individuals to try hockey for the first time or to get back into the sport in a fun and friendly environment. Over six weeks starting on 25 April, our team of qualified coaches will guide you through the basics of hockey, as well as getting you up and running with mini matches. (We also have a Clubhouse with a full bar for some additional team tactics talks!)
This is the programme for you to get back into a team sport and all the fun that comes with that, whatever age you are. So if you are in anyway interested in picking up a stick – whether this is your first time to ever take to a hockey pitch, or you’re someone who hasn’t put on the shin guards for years and years – we’d love to welcome you onto our pitches at Serpentine Avenue.
We’re delighted to have had so much interest that we have currently have spaces left for April and May, but if you’d like to join the waiting list in case of any cancellations, please email Andrea Pappin at andrea.pappin@pembrokewanderers.ie.
