Alison Pigot captained, and led the way with goals in both games, while Sinead Guilfoyle, Annie Lawlor, Aisling Schutte and Edwina Mulcahy were all involved. Sarah Williams and Elaine Donohoe were kept busy on the sidelines in a managing capacity…a great win for the Ladies over some quality opposition.
On the Men’s side Peter Priestley and Stewart Atkinson were part of an Irish team which saw wins over Scotland and Wales. England proved to be too strong in the decider, running out 6-2 winners.
