PWHC Under 16 Boys Vs Clontarf
Pembroke U16 boy’s continued their fine run in form with an epic 5-4 win against difficult opposition who defended well without a goalkeeper. It wasn’t the best performance from the boys but they managed to secure 3 points which Scott Sullivan and Jason Lynch were delighted with. Pembroke started brightly and sharp shooter Ben Schutte had Pembroke off to a dream start but Clontarf equalised soon after.
The game was free scoring from start to finish with Pembroke leading 3-2 going into the last quarter, thanks to another Schutte and Shane Hynes goal. Clontarf levelled it soon after when poor defending providing the visitors with an easy circle entry which they took advantage of. A drag flick from Cian Murphy had the hosts leading 4-3 but again Clontarf never gave up and scored shortly after. Ben Schutte secured 3 points for the Ballsbridge club when he was put through on goal following a swift counter attack. An important 5-4 win and another 3 points secured.
