Colts and Fillies weekend weather update

snow

Dear parents and players,

We have reluctantly decided not to go ahead with the extra session of hockey this coming weekend, Fri 17th, and Sun 19th, for all squads.  There are a couple of reasons:

1. The weather forecast is terrible. Even if we don’t get snow on the east coast, the freezing temperatures may well make the pitch unplayable, or at the very least, very hard and nasty for the younger ones if they fall.
2. Christmas commitments – plays, pagents and parties -many of you told us this extra date wasn’t suiting, given the time of year.

So to avoid last minute confusion, we are taking this decision now. Our planned fun and games will take place when the weather warms up, and we will make up the lost sessions in 2011.

I know this decision will be met with disappointment from many of you, but I hope you can understand our position.

We would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas, and a healthy and peaceful New Year.

Regards,
Ian and Sinead
