Irish Masters take 3 from 4 at Home Nations

DSC_2143

Many Congratulations to all who took part at the Home Nations Masters tournament last weekend in Marley.

It was fantastic to see Pembroke Wanderers so were well represented – what an amazing experience for all involved. On the Ladies side – Kerry Johnson captained the Over-40’s and with Anne Marie Cave, and (much missed) ex-PW girls Clara Chamberlayne and Emma Glanville making a formidable defence. Wendy Cullen (Moffet) starred in midfield. Ash Schutte played for Over-45’s (Kathryn Henderson there too) and Alison Pigot & Sinead Guilfoyle (GK) defend for the elder lemons.

The Ladies’ Masters took three of the four Home Nations titles on offer with gold at the Over-40’s, Over-45’s and Over-50’s level.

Dug Goode’s superb report from the Men’s O40’s victory can be found on The Hook.
