Men’s 1st XI Head Coach Announcment
On behalf of Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club, I am proud to announce that Kristian Mansfield will be the new Head Coach of our Men’s 1st XI. Kristian has been a fantastic club member since joining the club in 2018. He has always put Pembroke first, whether volunteering or delivering success as a captain and coach of our teams.
I am pleased that Kristian has accepted the role of Head Coach. It is just and fair recognition for his hard work, dedication, talent and ambition as a coach and his passion for the sport and the club. It gives me great pleasure to be able to promote from within.
Kristian will be joined on the coaching ticket by Simon Thornton who, alongside Kristian, has just won European gold and World Cup silver medals with the Ladies Over 35 Masters, not to mention multiple provincial and national titles with Pembroke Ladies 2s.
The Executive of Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club look forward to supporting Kristian, Simon and the team as they seek to gain promotion back to EY1. We will continue to work hard on behalf of our members, as we look to ensure that Pembroke is a warm, welcoming and competitive place for people to enjoy their hockey for years to come.
